You may be wondering what has happened to the Koens for the past few weeks. I too have wondered, and I wish I can say where the time has gone or how I have spend the last few weeks since I last updated our blog, but I can't.

Yesterday we hid donated Easter eggs in the Stoffel Park community park for the children. I am glad we did not advertise it, as within 10 minutes, we had about 300 children. It was great seeing all the faces, and I have to believe that these kids had never had the opportunity before to hunt for eggs. Although we felt blessed to have this opportunity, we also realised that the road ahead is long in teaching simple truths like honesty, taking turns, sharing and being thankful. If we look at having 10-12 years with most of these children, we are hopeful. If they never have the opportunites, then how can we expect them to think differently. One small step for man, one giant leap for man kind.
